Periklis Proussaefs D.D.S, MS (also referred as “Dr. Perry” for short) is a Prosthodontist (a dentist specialized in cosmetic, dental implant, and prosthetic dentistry).
Dr. Proussaefs has been a dentist for 18 years. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Athens. He earned a specialty certificate in Prosthodontics, a Master’s Degree in Prosthodontics, and a certificate in Implant Dentistry from Loma Linda University (LLU), California, in 2000. He has been appointed assistant professor in Oral Implantology since 2000 at LLU where he conducts seminars and research involving cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Proussaefs has lectured extensively in the field of Implant and prosthetic-cosmetic dentistry in national and international level dental conventions. His research and photos are being used for manufacturer’s advertisements, many of which serve as testimonials. He has received numerous national and international level awards for his research and clinical innovations in dental implants and Prosthodontics, and he holds several honorary positions in the dental community:
- Dr. Proussaefs has been an Assistant Professor of Oral Implantology at Loma Linda University since 2000.
- He has been serving as Editorial Board member for the Journal Of Prosthetic Dentistry (JPD) and the Journal of Oral Implantology (JOI) since 2002. Dr. Proussaefs has been selected among other experts around the globe to review, approve, and modify scientific articles before they get published and translated in several languages. He has personally published over 35 peer-reviewed scientific articles in journals with world-wide circulation. Dr.
- He is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, position given to clinicians who have demonstrated clinical and research expertise.
- 1st place Award winning research presentation in 2000 by the Academy of Osseointegration for his research entitled “The use of block onlay grafts for vertical alveolar ridge augmentation and implant placement: A pilot study”. The Academy of Osseointegration is a world-wide Organization involved in dental implant research and education. Dr. Proussaefs presented an innovative technique and research regarding bone grafting.
- Tylman Research Award. Dr. Proussaefs earned 1st place Tylman Award in 2002 by the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP). The AAFP has been the leader Dental Association in the field of Prosthodontics since 1952.
- Hickley Award in 2002 for his publication entitled “Conversion of a complete denture to a provisional implant-supported, screw-retained fixed prosthesis for immediate loading of a completely edentulous arch”. This article was published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, the leading dental journal in Prosthodontics with world-wide circulation. The award is given for the best innovative technique published that year. Dr Proussaefs and his colleagues published a new technique for restoring dental implants.
- In 2005, his name was included in the National Register’s Who’s Who, which is a leader in biographic publishing and recognizing professional achievers.
- In 2010 he was selected as a Top Dentist in Ventura by the International Association of Dentists. He was also elected one of America’s top dentists for 2009 and 2010 from the consumer’s research council.
- He has been a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Santa Barbara Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP).
Dr. Proussaefs offers dental care under IV sedation. IV sedation is a safe procedure that offers to patients with dental phobias the opportunity to receive comfortable dental care while being sedated.
In his free time Dr. Proussaefs enjoys traveling, reading, movies, sports, and spending time with his wife and two kids Arian and Athena.

Reza Salmassian D.D.S., M.S. - Orthodontist
Dr Salmassian is a Board certified Orthodontist. He obtaoined his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisno. He received his specilty training and Masters Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr Salmassian has also obtained a B.S. degree in Microbiology from the Arizona State University.
Dr Salmassian has received numerous awards during his educational training.

Dennis Hunt, D.D.S., - Periodontist
Dr. Hunt graduated from the Univerity of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA) with a D.D.S. degree in 1994 and a Certificate in Periodontics in 1997. He was the periodontist for the “Swan Show” on the Fox network. On this show he performed esthetic crown lengthening for participants who had high smile lines and unappealing gummy smiles. Dr. Hunt is listed in America’s top dentists of 2009 by consumer’s research council of America. Dr. Hunt has been in private practice since 1997 and has been treating the majority of his periodontally affected patients with soft tissue management systems in high quality oriented practices. To do this Dr. Hunt has actively researched and tried all new treatment adjuncts as they have appeared in the ever-changing field of periodontics. The adaptive approach has lead to high-end soft tissue management systems. Dr. Hunt has retained a scholastic component to his career and has published many articles in the area of bone regeneration for dental implants and bone biology. Dr. Hunt is currently one of the leaders in the use of the powerful bone growing protein BMP along with Dr. Sascha Jovanovic at UCLA. This team is leading the industry in identifying its potentials and parameters. This powerful growth factor enables the dental community to regenerate bone at an unprecedented level without the need for bone harvesting, while virtually eliminating complications and failure rates.
Otis T. Chong, DMD, MMSc - Endodontist
Dr. Chong is an endodontist (a dentist specialized in root canal treatment). He obtained a Bachelor in Biology from University of California, San Diego, in 2000. Dr Chong then earned his DDS degree form University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. He obtained his specialty certificate in endodontics from Harvard University along with a Masters degree of Medical Science in Oral Biology. Dr Chong is proud to be able to deliver to his patients the “cutting edge” knowledge he acquired in Harvard University, an institution well known world-wide for the advanced research performed in his field. Dr Chong had been a clinical instructor in Endodontics at Harvard University, as well as in University of Pennsylvania. He loves sharing his knowledge and expertise with other dentists in a teaching institution. He currently lectures at the UCLA School of Dentistry. John Chung DDS - Dentist
Dr Chung is an experienced general dentist. He earned a degree in biology in 1994 from California Statue University of San Bernardino. He then obtained a DDS degree from Marquette University (1998). Dr Chung has over 11 years of experience in the dental field. He a kind, patient, caring doctor who believes in high quality dentistry. Dr Chung has been treating patients with various other dental specialists over the last decade. His constant thirst for knowledge, continuing education courses, and gentle character, has made his an outstanding clinician. Dr Chung lives in Ventura and enjoys swimming, surfing, playing water polo, and spending time with his wife Anna.
Farnoosh Tabesh DDS - Dentist
Dr. Tabesh graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School. Her academic achievements as a dental student were numerous, including first place poster research presentation at University of Maryland, induction to Phi Theta Kappa from 1998-2002, inclusion in the Deans List: 1998-2002, and others. Eager to satisfy her quest for excel in her field, she subsequently obtained a certificate in Advanced General Dentistry. Dr Tabesh has been taking numerous continuing education courses around the country mainly focusing on topics related to esthetics and restorative dentistry. She has been a member of the ADA since 2003. She believes in high quality dentistry and she always spends the time to effectively communicate with her patients while delivering dentistry at its highest level.
